BNR-Bouwstoffen manufactures, recycles and supplies materials for earthworks, roadbuilding, hydraulic engineering, horticulture, garden centres and the public sector. The range includes quarry stone, chippings, sand, gravel, natural stone, chemical building materials, mixed and concrete granulates and ballastmaterials in behalf of railways, tramways and craneways.

The offices of BNR-Bouwstoffen are in Werkendam aan de Merwede, from where trading activities are co-ordinated. The storage site in Werkendam, which is approx. 10,000 m2 in size, is located on the water where (seagoing) ships are loaded and unloaded.
Besides BNR-Bouwstoffen has storage sites in Eemshaven in Groningen and in Moerdijk to its disposal.

BNR-Bouwstoffen supplies natural stone from its own quarries in Norway, Belgium and Germany. Besides we supply from various other quarries in Europe. This is then unloaded and stored at our site and harbour on the Merwede at Werkendam, Eemshaven in Groningen or in Moerdijk. Distribution through the Netherlands and Europe is by rail or ship.

BNR-Bouwstoffen owns rights in The Netherlands to sell the products of the quarries in the Belgian Condroz area.
To be able to reach this "Petit Granit", thousends of tons of limestone are removed. This lime-stone is very suitable as dumping-stones and hardcore.
Quarry-stones are used in waterways and road construction.
Hardcore is used for road contstruction, concrete industry and asphalt.
